Fall Morning Meters

Some athletes are looking for extra training opportunities during the Fall, we hope the Morning Meters sculling/sweep option can help facilitate these goals.

Please ask your coach about specific work on an area you would like to improve on, or a particular training session you would like to complete. You can also simply complete the training or drills assigned that morning.

These sessions are open to anyone who has completed a prior WRC high school camp or an athlete that has completed the equivalent at their home club.

These sessions are NOT a learn to scull opportunity. Participating in our Summer Sculling/Sweep Development Camp or completing private lessons would facilitate learn to scull fundamentals more appropriately.

We can offer sculling and sweep options in singles, pairs, doubles, coxless fours and quads. If you are looking for team boat training, make sure you sign up with other athletes interested in similar boat class work.

If you are unsure about any of the above, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Director, Kit Bennett.

Requirements

  • Participants (if single sculling) will have to be able to launch a single safely and complete a capsize drill PRIOR to starting these sessions starting.
  • Participants should feel comfortable completing at least 60 minutes of steady state in a single scull or pair during a practice.
